As per Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines, an account / deposit would be treated as unclaimed if there is no Customer induced transaction /demand has occurred / taken place for a period of ten years or more.
A list of all unclaimed deposits / accounts is displayed on the bank’s website which can be searched by name. The details contain only the names of the account holder and address of record. If the account is not in the name of the individuals, the names of the individuals authorized to operate the accounts are provided. If a potential match is found, the name and address of the account holder will be displayed.
